Dr. James R. Bowers is a graduate of Penn State University and Temple University School of Dentistry.  Specializing in the restorative aspect of dentistry, Dr. Bowers maintained his private practice for almost 30 years.  In 2006 he joined the PI Dental Center at the Institute for Facial Esthetics in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, as a General Dentist.  He also serves as an Instructor and the Director of Continuing Education for the Institute.  The PI Dental Center provides cutting edge prosthodontics and Dr. Bowers focuses on restorative care at the Center.  He is also an Associate Professor at Temple University’s Kornberg School of Dentistry in the Restorative Department.  He is a Member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Academy of Osseointegration.  Dr. Bowers is also a member of the Montgomery-Bucks Dental Society, Philadelphia Stomatognathic Society, the Delaware Valley Academy of Osseointegration, past President of the Monroe County Dental Society, and a member of the Ewing Study Club.  He is a multiple recipient of the America’s Top Dentists award and a lifetime recipient of Who’s Who for Cosmetic and Reconstructive Dentistry.  Dr. Bowers received the “Top Dentists of Philadelphia” award for cosmetic dentistry as published in the February 2010 issue of Philadelphia Magazine.
